Automatic rule:
Android:
- Go to settings
- Automatic rules
- Create a new rule
- Select the matching criteria (Netflix, HBO, Vodafone, account number etc) - (It has to match the notes in your transaction)
- Type (Income/expense or none for non-specification)
- Actions (Change the category - or leave it blank for no change)
- Create a label (auto-assign to new records - toggle on for it to assign to past and present transactions)
- Push notification (Toggle on/off)*
- Select the ✅ icon
Web App:
1. Go to "settings"
2. Select "Automatic Rules" and "add new rule" (+)
3. Name the rule and select the Keywords (Netflix, HBO, Vodafone, account number etc) - (It has to match the notes in your transaction)
4. Record Type (Any/expense/Income)
5. Assign Actions
- Category - Change the category - or leave it blank for no change
- Label - Create a label (auto-assign to new records - toggle on for it to assign to past and present transactions)
iOS:
1. Select"Settings"
2. Select "Automatic Rules"
3. Create a rule by selecting the + icon in the top right hand corner
4. Create a name for your rule and Select the matching criteria by "Record type" (Any, Expense or Income) & "Unique Keyword" (Netflix, HBO, Vodafone, account number etc - It has to match the Notes or Payee from your transactions)
5.Assign Actions
- Category - Change the category - or leave it blank for no change
- Label - Create a label (auto-assign to new records)
*If you have selected the on toggle via push notifications, it will bring you to all the similar transactions, past and present. You can then quickly check over these and select/deselect any transactions you want.
The categories are automatically assigned based on rules that you custom define. In case a record is not assigned to a category, create a new specific rule or update the existing categorization rule.
