Wallet is designed to help you manage your finances efficiently. To make the most of it, you'll need to enter and manage your transactions. This article explains the features of adding and modifying your records.
How to Add Transactions
You cannot add, edit, or delete any records from a bank-connected account directly. To make changes, temporarily disconnect your bank account, manage the records, and then reconnect the account.
Android
- Select '≡' in the top left
- Select 'Records'
- Select the blue '+' in the bottom right
- Select 'New Record'
- Choose the record type 'Income, Expense, Transfer'
- Enter the Amount
- Select the Account
- Select the Category
- For additional details, tap the white arrow on the right side of the screen
- Here you add even more details such as Note, Labels, Payee, Date, Payment Type, Warranty, Status, Location, Receipts.
- Save it in the top right.
iOS
- Select 'More' in the bottom right
- Select 'Records'
- Select the blue '+' in the top right
- Fill in the Record details'
- Choose the record type 'Income, Expense, Transfer'
- Enter the Amount
- Select the Account
- Select a Category
- Additional details can be entered such as Note, Labels, Payee, Date, Payment Type, Warranty, Status, Location, Receipts.
- Swipe down on the number pad to reveal the save button. Simply tap it to save your record.
Web App
- Go to your 'Records' in the top left.
- Select the button '+ Add'
- Fill in the Record details'
- Choose the record type 'Income, Expense, Transfer'
- Enter the Amount
- Select the Account
- Select a Category
- Additional details can be entered such as Note, Labels, Payee, Date, Payment Type, Payment Status, Location.
- Select the green 'Add Record' button to save it.
How to Edit Records
You have the flexibility to edit all fields for manually added transactions by selecting the records. However, for transactions connected to the bank, only specific fields are editable, and non-editable fields will appear grayed out. To make changes, you may need to disconnect your account, modify the transaction, and then reconnect it.
How to Split Records
Android
- Select the record you would like to split
- In the Record detail screen, tap on the split-arrows icon in the top right corner.
- From the Split Record screen, tap on the split button.
- Enter the category, note, and amount, it will create a new record.
- Tap on create.
- Save it in the top right.
