You can adjust your account's settings by choosing the Balance Display Options either as Available Credit - which will show a positive balance of the amount you have available or Credit Balance - which will show a negative balance of the amount you owe.
Troubleshooting Credit Card Balance
1. The credit card accounts have to start with an initial value of zero when you set them up. Then add the starting balance as a record. Make sure this is what you have for your credit card account.
2. Changing the credit card account to cash and return them back to the credit card account again.
3. Go to your Credit Card Account's setting. Change the field Type: Credit Card to Type: Account with an Overdraft.
